Bloomfields have successfully gained planning permission for the conversion of a redundant rural stable building for use as a holiday let, which has been allowed at appeal.

The Local Planning Authority did not consider the building to be of sufficient quality to be retained, but a successful case was presented that the building was of a form, scale and design that reinforces landscape character.

Additionally, the Planning Inspector concurred that the proposed external alterations reflected the rural Kentish vernacular, with new glazing being carefully considered to harmonise with the traditional form of the building.
