Successful Residential Development Appeal

Having received a refusal for their planning application for seven dwellings, Bloomfields were approached to lodge a appeal against the LPA decision.  Whilst the site location was outside of a defined settlement boundary, we successfully demonstrated that in the context of the Council’s lack of housing supply, the site was in an appropriate location for development, making an important contribution towards housing provision that would contribute to the local economy and vitality of the existing community.  In engaging the presumption in favour of sustainable development, the Planning Inspector considered that the limited adverse impacts associated with the site location did not significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits, with the appeal subsequently allowed.
